Dear Audience,
Today is the day we’re gonna brainstorm and come up with our top travel spots for 2025.
So it’s 2:30 in the morning right now and I can’t sleep I don’t know what’s up but I think it’s the PMS like it gives me such messy sleep schedules even though I am tired as heck. So instead of spending hours rolling uncomfortably in bed, I have decided to get up and write a blog.
With the new year coming up, I’ve been thinking a lot about where I want to travel for the next year. So this will be a midnight blabber of my travel destinations bucket list for 2025. This is my personal bucket list, but hopefully you’ll find inspirations for your own travel bucket list.

Top Travel Spots for 2025

The East Coast
I actually grew up in the East Coast, in Maryland. I haven’t been back in over a decade but this year I will be visiting at least once or twice because that is where my family is living right now. Therefore, there will be a lot of East Coast activities on my bucket list for the year to come.
HOWEVER, I don’t know how many of you guys relate, but honestly out of all of the travel destinations internationally, the USA is one of the least exciting places for me. Like I’ve literally been looking up travel guides on the East Coast region, and I don’t know if it’s because I grew up there and I’m already very familiar with the place, but I just don’t feel as excited. Can anyone relate?
If you guys have any suggestions on where to go for the Washington DC/DMV area, please let me know because I am really in need of some inspiration right now.

Vietnam
Ever since I went to Thailand this year, I’ve been wanting to go back to Southeast Asia. I knew very early on that. I wanted to travel to Vietnam in 2025 because this year I will be graduating from medical school FINALLY, and I always knew that I wanted to do a graduation trup to Vietnam.
Initially, I wanted to go to Hanoi but after doing some research, I feel that Ho Chi Minh City is probably a better choice for first timers. Obviously different people have different opinions on this, but I feel like Ho Chi Minh is just more vibrant whereas Hanoi is more traditional and historical. I think I would prefer the vibes of Ho Chi Minh more. I’ll definitely make a post on which one is more suitable for first-timers after I’ve been to both cities. But for the meantime, if you guys have any recommendations on which is better for first-timers then please let me know!

China
China is another country that is also on my top travel spots for 2025. Honestly, as a Taiwanese, not as many people in my country, like traveling to China for obvious political reasons. Nonetheless, I do think that there are so many beautiful places in China and that it’s worth exploring despite political controversies.
I was thinking Harbin or Sichuan. But I think I want to save Harbin for the winter times because a lot of their top tourist spots are only open during winter anyway. Let me know if you’ve ever been to China and what your favorite places were because there are so many places in China to explore and I’m very intrigued.

Japan
I did not plan on going to Japan next year until very very recently and that’s only because with the really cold weather right now, all I’ve been wanting to do is soak myself in hot baths. So next year, when winter time comes around, it’ll be a dream come true to be able to go to Japan for their onsens.
And what’s so great about Japan is that it’s very close to Taiwan, so a lot of people are able to go for just a weekend.
OK I think that is the end of my top travel spots for 2025 bucket list midnight ramble. I apologize if the list is very short and boring. But I definitely want to do more traveling in the upcoming year, as well as produce more posts for this blog. And I hope that, if anything, this has given you some sort of travel inspiration in the very least.
Thank you for staying and reading my midnight TED talk. Please let me know what your top travel spots for 2025 are, I would love to know what’s on your bucket list!
Until Next Time,
Emi
