Emily in Paris is definitely one of those super addictive shows that you get slightly annoyed at sometimes but still can’t stop yourself from binging.
Season 3 of Emily in Paris has been out for a while, have you watched it yet?
My schedule has been a bit busy this year, so I haven’t been able to carve out the time to watch it yet! But I absolutely loved the first two seasons and thought it would be super fun to do a travel post based on your favorite characters in Emily in Paris.
Alfie
Honestly, Alfie is a dream man. He’s kind, loving, chivalrous, and such a gentle soul. I love his composure and the way he dresses. With such a kind and polite nature, Alfie would fit right in in Japan. The Japanese somehow always have a polite demeanor and a way to keep everything super tidy at all times. Canada would definitely come right after Japan when we’re looking at Alfie.
Camille
Camille is such a stunner, with her beautiful blonde hair and dazzling blue eyes. I honestly cannot comprehend how Gabriel could have ever cheated on her! Camille is super charming and an extremely loyal friend. Her icy appearance with her unwavering personality and willingness to cut off anyone who crosses her boundaries makes her perfect for the land of fire and ice- Iceland.
Camille would also fit right into any of the Scandinavian countries.
Emily
Am I the only one who finds Emily slightly annoying?
Pretty much the only thing I dislike about Emily in Paris is that in every episode, Emily always sticks her nose into something she shouldn’t and does something extremely uncalled for. She’s always plays the victim every time someone calls her out for it, and somehow still gets everything her way in the end.
End of rant.
Despite all of that, Emily is still a very creative and solution-oriented woman. Living in a completely foreign environment, she is always willing to get out of her comfort zone to try new things, and that’s something to applaud for.
If your favorite character from Emily in Paris is Emily, then Thailand is the perfect vacation destination for you. Like Emily, Thailand is just so fun and carefree, and so colorful. Being in Thailand will have you forget about all your worries in life!
Julian
Julian’s sass- period. I literally cannot.
From the way he dresses to his humor and sarcasm- I think he might just be my favorite character in Emily in Paris. Julian’s character reminds me a lot of Taiwan. Taiwan, and many of our neighboring oriental countries, are stereotypically competent but quite judgmental, and I can totally vouch for that.
Although the we speak may be filled with sarcasm and a little judgment from time to time, Taiwanese people are some of the friendliest people on earth and always willing to lend a helping hand to those in need- just like how Julian’s always looking out for Emily!
Sylvie
Sylvie has such an inexplicable charm to her, she’s definitely got that je ne sais quoi that everyone loves in French women. She carries herself with so much grace, even though she’s always smoking and her words often aren’t the kindest- she’s just so French.
Honestly, I would date her if I could. Anyone else?
If you love Sylvie, then a trip to Cuba or Jamaica would be absolutely splendid! I can just imagine Sylvie having a blast in Cuban clubs, sipping on delicious cocktail with men much younger than her!
Gabriel
Gabriel is definitely one of the characters that makes Emily in Paris so damn addictive. A good looking man and he’s a chef? I’ll take one please!
I still can’t believe he had the nerves to cheat on Camille though, definitely won’t forgive him for that! Gabriel is definitely one of the most popular characters in Emily in Paris amongst us girls, and if you’re also a fangirl, then your next vacation should definitely be in Spain. His tanned skin and sly smile takes me to Spain’s sunny beaches in a moment. And for an extremely talented chef, Gabriel would very much appreciate Spain’s fine wine and cuisine.
Mindy
Rich Chinese girl escaping her family in the pursuit of her own dreams, Mindy sounds like a character that could be easily placed in Crazy Rich Asians. I absolutely love how supportive and dramatic of a friend she is. If I were traveling with Mindy, we would definitely be luxury shopping in Dubai. Mindy would love the extravagant lifestyle there, and she’d probably go nuts shopping in Dubai’s most expensive malls.
If Mindy is your girl, then it looks like it’s time for you to book a trip to one of the world’s most expensive cities!
Luc
Luc has such a relaxed crackhead grandpa vibe, I bet being friends with him would be a lot of fun. He seems like the type of person you’d go to for very honest and unfiltered opinions, or just life advice in general. Luc seems like a really genuine friend, and I can definitely see him chilling somewhere on a beach in the Philippines, or drinking out of a fresh coconut in Bali.

The synopsis for this show definitely reminds me of Hemingways book ‘A Moveable Feast’ I read in college. I really liked that book and I’m motivated to start watching this show too! It looks like so much fun! Thanks so much for sharing!

This article is so fun! You HAVE to watch Season 3 when you can…you just might change your mind about some of these characters 😉 I can’t pick a favorite, but I have always found Sylvie to be so interesting and complex. Love it!

I’ve only watched a couple of episodes and agree with Emily is slightly annoying. But I am a huge Alfie fan (at least from what I’ve seen). What a fun post incorporating other countries based on personality. Love the creativeness of this!
